About Dr. Kristen Brown
I have had a passion for animals for as long as I can remember. From the age of 5 my mind was made up that a life of helping animals was the path for me. From that point onwards I followed my dream of becoming a veterinarian. Having been born and raised in Markham, I have worked the past 15 1/2 years at a veterinary hospital in Markham, where I started as a volunteer and worked my way up the ropes.
At this point in my career it was time for a change. I have decided that I want to work for myself and continue to provide quality, honest, reliable and affordable medicine. I feel I am best able to offer these services to the community through mobile veterinary medicine.
I graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph in 2008 with Honours. It was an adventure that had me out on farm calls tending to cows, horses, goats and pigs. While attending the University I worked in the large animal surgery ward, was part of a dog walking program for the research dogs and cared for neonatal foals through the night.
I currently live in Whitby with my husband and furry family, though I spend most of my time in Markham. When I am not working with animals I enjoy relaxing with friends, snowboarding, scuba diving and traveling the world.
